Help With Hockey Stick Selection

I want to buy a bundle of hockey sticks for our club to use to play, ahhumm, uni-hockey. Any suggestions on what to look for, where to shop, how long, left or right, etc. Keeping in mind, living in the South I didn’t exactly grow up with hockey in the 'hood so I know nothing about hockey sticks except that it looks like great fun on unis.

Thanks for your help,
Tommy

Re: Help With Hockey Stick Selection

If you’re buying a “bundle” make sure you get a couple that curve the other way, i.e. that lefties would use. I am a righty but use a lefty hockey stick, which is simply to say that I hold the stick to my left side.

I’m no expert on hockey stick quality, but I do believe you want sticks that are on the long side; bring a uni along and see if they’ll let you idle while holding a stick to see what’s a good length.

And make sure that only people who can ride backwards and idle are allowed to play! :stuck_out_tongue:
