i want to put a 48 hole hub in a 36 hole rim is it possible?
As no one else has replied, I’ll say I think so, coz the difference is 12 spokes, which is 6 per flange, so 3 in each direction on each flange. If you made sure the 3 missing spokes were evenly spaced around the hub it should be ok, albeit not ideal. But then I could be wrong, I’m not an experienced wheelbuilder by any measure. I can’t think of any reason why it should be that much weaker though.
