Any help appreciated. With this site only, I’m having trouble with the pages loading. They often time out and require a refresh. The refresh works every time. Again, all other websites load properly. All links from websites work properly (news, etc…). All has been fine for about a year and now I’ve had these problems for the last 3 days or so. I have tried a system restore but it did not fix the issue. I’ve also cleared all cookies using C Cleaner.

5 year old PC
Windows XP home edition, service pack 3.
2.19 GHz AMD Athlon processor
448 MB of RAM
AVG used for malware protection
Spybot Search and Destroy shows I have no malware at present

To clear things up: I’m pretty sure Blue’s being facetious here. Maybe six months ago, the fora were running pretty slow, and Terry/UniGeezer/MuniAddict complained. Soon, Gilby discovered that the Most Replys!!! (MR) thread in JC was slowing things down, so he promptly deleted it. I’m not sure if you ever witnessed the original MR, but it was incredibly long and there was always a good conversation going on in there; it had established somewhat of a community of its own. Blue, being one of those who posted in MR very often, was most likely upset/distraught/morose/outraged over MR’s sudden and apparently permanent disappearance. Now there is a new MR thread (MOST REPLYS II: Return of the Reply), and although it is not as long as the original and just isn’t the same, it is growing and many former MRians, such as Blue, post in it frequently. Thus, Blue, in bitter sarcasm, suggested that you request its deletion. There you go, Super G.
Have you tried it on a different browser? Either way, you should do yourself(and the web) a favor and install firefox. Looks like you are getting a javascript error.
I have about the same setup with Firefox 3.6.3 and the website is working perfectly. Are you sure you sure trying to access the site through a computer?
I just loaded Firefox and it fails in similar fashion, just with this website. That made me wonder about my firewall so I temporarilly turned it off - no change. I updated my java and made sure all java features are enabled in my internet settings. I also updated windows with all microsoft’s critical updates. Still no joy.

I guess I’m not following your question. Yes, I’m using a computer as described above. This site has always worked fine for me until a few days ago. The weird part is that it is only with this site. I can surf all day long via links, favorites, direct URL etc… but this site alone is now giving me trouble.
ARG!!! I just wrote a post and it didn’t worked… exactly what I said before the internet said “Internet Explorer can’t find this page”… It’s really slow here too, and on my favorite site not any other sites:(
For me right now the site is most likely to fail when posting or responding to a post. My last response seemed to fail after typing all that. After typing it and clicking “submit reply” the browser timed out. I refreshed the thread and it appeared my response was lost. I gave up for the moment, then came back to see it had indeed posted. I wouldn’t be surprised if your new thread did post after all.
I tried Firefox and it failed as well, just with this website. Since then I’ve installed last month’s microsoft critical updates and my problems are now gone. It was not an immediate fix so I’m not sure what to make of it.
The worst part of my job is fixing internet explorer issues (6/7 for the most part), well actually I have grown to like fixing them, plus it is job security. Everyone should give us developers a break and if you are using IE, please stop, use a webkit browser (safari, chrome) or use firefox, IE is absolutely terrible.
