Help Needed any Scottish Unicyclists out there?!

:slight_smile: hello there im looking to find someone in Scotland preferably in the Glasgow area who either themself or who knows someone that could teach my dad (50yrs young) to unicycle. He anounced the other day that he would always have loved to try it, so that got my mum and i thinking what a fab idea for a christmas pressie, so while searching with not much luck on the net i stumbled accross this site and thought if anyone can help then this is the place! :wink:
I have come accross many sites for circus schools for children, but thats not what im after!
Any info contact numbers web links prices so on and so on would be brilliant.

Hello! I live in Dumfries (South Scotland). I don’t have a spare unicycle that would be suitable for your dad and I don’t go to Glasgow often.

There are a few things you could do:

There is also http://www.glasgowjugglingclub.co.uk/ which looks pretty good, in the photo on the front page it looks like someone is trying a unicycle.

If your dad does figure it all out then there is some excellent muni (mountain unicycling) spots in Scotland!

thanks, but i was more looking for someone to teach, or who does like a half day course or something like that, but i will check out the ones you mentioned

You should probably persuade him to got to the Juggling club, there’s bound to be someone there than can guide him. Learning in a group is great because by watching someone better you pick it up a wee bit quicker.
