Help Mounting Unicycle

I’ve only been unicycling for 3 days and i need help mounting it…i can
mount it about half the times i try but when i get up i ALWAYS do a 90
degree turn before i start going, i don’t know why…if i try to correct
it i’ll fall…

am i doin’ something wrong?

any suggestions?

I assume you are trying to free mount the uni. You might want to try
strating with the uni backed into a curb so that when you mount up onto
it, the uni stays in place easier.

If it is rotating 90 degrees, it is likely that you are pushing down too
much and that you are twisting in the direction of your starting foot. Try
to push less on the pedal and kind of jump or lunge up onto the uni more
so that you don’t apply as much pressure until your second foot is on the
pedal also. The curb technique helps this as well because you can’t roll
the uni back at all.

Good luck. Keep practising, the 90 degree turn will go away.
