Okay this is a movie me and a friend started talking about to which the name I cannot remember. It was most likely made in the 1980 to early 1990’s in a fantasy setting.
The basic plot is as follows.
There is a unicorn and a demon along with the protagonist a girl and a fairy and a few other woodland mythical creatures. The demon is trying to cut off the unicorns horn for some reason. He eventually captures the unicorn and has it chained up the girl pretends to be evil and the demon gives her the job of cutting off the unicorns horn but instead she cuts the unicorns chains and it gets free. At some point Also the boy and his friends are trapped in a cage at the demons evil place and the boy tells the fair to leave the cage and get larger to which all of the other animals get really suprised because no one is supposed to know she can change size… and she gets mad at the boy for revealing her secret.
This is all I can remember.

No I didn’t I was under the impression that google has a ten word limit. Although I do not think this is the movie I remember from my childhood the movie I remember was live action not animated. But thank you Brier!

I think I remember it slightly different though, thats why I said I doubt it was the movie from your description, but good thing I still mentioned it. 
I’m nearly certain that most people will just gloss over that remark. But you sir are hilarious. Had me laughing out loud for a little bit.
