I just bought what I hope to be a good trials uni that will get me better at trials stuff in general, but I don’t know what it is! A friend of mine pointed it out to me on EBay, and the seller didn’t really know what it was. Any help would be appreciated.
Don’t know how to post pics so here’s the link to the eBay page : http://m.ebay.com/itm/Nimbus-Unicycle-20-wheel-Kris-Holm-Moment-cranks-Used-good-condition-BLUE-/182424009872?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150519202348%26meid%3D3d2b3c9d5d7c431f8868998e310f9164%26pid%3D100408%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D25%26sd%3D122309785732&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460
It’s the one on top that was already sold. A nimbus.
Judging by the fact that it has some scratches and “dings” on it, and that someone replaced the cranks, it has probably been ridden a fair amount, but unless it’s badly damaged, you got an excellent deal. Just the cranks alone, if you bought them new, would cost close to what you paid for the whole uni.
The wheel is a legit trials wheel because it has a 20 x 2.5 tire on it; the frame I’m not sure about. It might be a Nimbus II or a real trials frame, but either way, it will be fine for just about anything you are likely to do with it in the foreseeable future.
Looks like a Nimbus II, its a good frame, not my favorite, but it gets the job done.
That’s one hell of a uni for the price, congrats on the purchase.
