Hi all! I’ve been unicycling for about a month now. My first uni is a Coker Big One with 125mm cranks. I’ve heard it’s very challenging to learn on a 36er, but I have no basis for comparison. After roughly a month, I can free mount and head down the road. I’m working on turning now. I can turn left pretty naturally but for some reason a right turn just doesn’t work. I have had a blast every step of the way and feel like I’m 10 years old again. I have lost weight, and my legs are getting stronger every day. Seriously, who needs a gym membership! My seven year old daughter caught the bug and is learning to ride an 18" sun. She’s got the assisted mount after about 30 minutes and working her way along with her right hand on a wall. Anyone else from Fort Collins? I’d love to get together for some casual riding. Love the forums, and thanks for having me.
Welcome.
Learning to ride on a 36er is a pretty big accomplishment. Congrats.
Hope you & your daughter have lots of fun riding together.
I live in Arvada. Don’t hesitate to message me if you are ever going to be in the Denver Metro area and want to meet up to ride! I have a 20" and a 29er and am more than happy to let people take em for a spin
I hope you are safe and avoiding the crazy fire that’s burnin up there right now!
Hey there! Thanks for the reply. The fires are up in the front range foothills, and I’m in the city. Very sad how many homes are lost. You can’t mess with Mother Nature.
Thanks for the ride invite. Same goes for you if you’re in Fort Collins.
