Hello everyone, I'm new.

Hi,

Just found this site, and thought I’d say a little about me, just for the hell of it.

Technically, I’ve been riding for a little less than a year, but there are large chunks of no practice within that year. I’m not very good, I’m unofficially past level 2. And the only possibly interesting thing about my unicycle experience is that I learned to ride on a loose gravel driveway with potholes (this hurt…a lot). Also, I’m working up to a straitjacket escape on a uni, I know this has already been done by many but not by me and rarely with an ungimmicked medical jacket.

Dorian

Dorian, welcome aboard!!! You’ll be needing that straightjacket escape trick because most of us here are a little looney anyway!!! hehehe
Sounds like you’re learning at a good pace if you’re past level 2. I’ve only been riding a little under 2 months myself and I always want more!

Announce your arrival at the Rec. board and you’ll be welcomed with open arms!

Wow!

Not only about the loose gravel driveway… I have extreme difficulty riding on gravel; hopping along is pretty much the only way I can make progress.

But a straitjacket escape while on a unicycle? That’s extremely impressive indeed. May I be the first to say “video, please” when you get it cracked!

Good luck, keep us posted, it sounds like great fun! I’ve not heard of anyone doing such an escape on a unicycle before, so it’s still a very impressive feat.

Phil

Yeah Phil you’re right. I would love to see someone in a straightjacket on a unicycle. I haven’t seen one for quite a while now. As a matter of fact I wouldn’t mind doing it too, on a 6" Giraffe Unicycle. Welcome aboard Dorian. Hope you love our favorite Unicycling gossip from around the world.

Re: Hello everyone, I’m new.

i’ve never seen this and didn’t know it’s been done
i like the idea of doing it on the raffie
set the tire alight and u’ll be in a class of your own!

maybe do it on a burning slackline?
(“only 35 seconds till the line snaps, sending him hurtling down…”)

Nice to meet you Dorian. That straight jacket escape sounds great and I too am eagerly awaiting some videos. I’d be a bit worried about not landing on your feet. I’d hate that feeling of not being able to move your arms out to cushion the fall.

Andrew

Welcome to the group! I hope to see an escape vid soon.
