Have Fun At Unicon!

All,

To everybody going to all the international and national unicycle stuff, have fun! Post pics and videos when you get back home, so the rest of us can live vicariously through you.

Yes. PLEASE post pics and videos! Unicon is just a stones throw away
from me here in Alaska but I can’t go due to work obligations. :frowning:

I’m sure we’ll all have a great time but it just won’t be the same without all you there with us. We’re leaving tomorrow morning (Saturday), getting up at 3:30 a.m. for a two hour drive to Midway-Chicago. Yeehaw!

Bruce

This board better be flooded with pictures, videos, updates, and the like!

i wish i could go too.it pains me that some of the people going are not even in this country.im only a 4 hour drive away but i will not be able to attend:( .

i’ll be here though, like i allways am.lonely and distrought.it came down to a new uni or travel costs.as much as i think it sucks, thee truth is :the KH20 hopfully will last longer than unicon.

and yes, like Accord said,“this board better be jammed with stuff.”

I had a great time at NAUCC today. I met lots of folks face to face that I had only contacted electronically before and only a few of them burst into tears and ran away. I was pleased.

Also, I gave lots of them root beer. If Carol McClean had been there she could have claimed a bottle. I drank hers. I’ll buy a fresh batch every day for them, though. She has to show up someday.

I will begin taking some pictures tomorrow. Pictures of the business meeting, although there were several EXTREMELY flashy dressers there, would have been less than stimulating.

Will you have any root beer left by the time Unicon starts? I’m curious.

Hey Greg!

We tried Thomas Kemper root beer on the way back last night. Got it at the
‘Milk Barn’ just around the corner from the events. I asked our boys for
their assessment…they agreed that it’s good, but it doesn’t measure up to
A&W. However, the Orange Cream soda is in a class by iteself!

I’m coming! Try not to have any more fun until I get there. (Ok, some fun,
but not too much.) Save it for Unicon!

I hope you like a game I have planned. I will need 16 volunteers (riders)
for the first round. We need a parking lot, warm weather, lots of
spectators, and buckets of water. I’m bringing the other necessary items.
Should be interesting! I can’t wait. Any takers for the first round?

Do not drink any more root beer until Thursday. I hope to roll into town
then with my daughter, 7 unicycles, whatever is left of my box of Twinkies,
16 squirt guns, and a huge bag of candy (for the Tootsie Roll – a relay
game you won’t want to miss!).

I’m packing now. It’s just a quick 30-hour drive from here.

See you soon!

Thanks.

Sarah and Carol-

I plan to buy root beer everyday and distribute it to interested participants. There is an endless supply. You may also bring various antibiotic ointments in order to make accurate flavor comparisons.

The new game sounds intriguing. I think I’ll have to add my own equipment like highly over-inflated beach animal toys.

Count me in if the weathers hot! I’ll expect you for the quidditch
workshop, I’m bringing the quaffle and snitch, the bludgers and goals we
will have to work out out there, they won’t fit in my case!

Can I try a twinkie too.

I started packing yesterday, so far I’ve managed to squeze two and 2
half unis, into a box, and 6 hockey sticks in a 4 stick bag. still to
do the suitcase ( 2 half unis and clothes) and the back pack… Our trip to
Snoqualmie will start on
Wednesday at 5 am, and end some 26 hours , one taxi, one bus, two planes
and one hire car drive later.

See you on Thursday.
