Has anyone collected all the old avatars?

I was recently hunting around for a decent new avatar (thanks, Loosemoose!) and got to thinking about all the discarded avatars that there must be lying around somewhere (Gilby’s floor?)

Then I thought I remembered someone had mentioned collecting the avatars used on this site. Was it Klaas Bil? And were they posted on a website somewhere? I’m sure I remember trying to access a page a long time ago that didn’t work for me.

it will be a fascinating study if it does exist

He’s heard of such a collection. However, he’s having BIOS trouble, so he might not be able to give you one of his many precious avatars.
