It just seems that somebody has probably already done it.
I wonder about records.
What is the greatest distance ever ridden in 24 hrs, on a Uni?
Surely there are records somewhere to be broken!

One wheel many spokes
Lars Clausen did it and he even wrote a book on it called one wheel many spokes. I believe he holds the record for most miles travelled in 24 hours and duration spent in the saddle at a single go. Www.onewheel.org give it a go if you’re interested and remember records are meant to be broken. Happy riding.
I was recently searching the web about distance riding and came across his website, ended up buying the book. Hasn’t come yet, but I look forward to reading it for some inspiration as I get used to putting in just 2 or 3 hours in the saddle… Ouch I don’t know how you guys do it.
This page claims that the farthest distance traveled in 24 hours is 281.85 miles. Guinness also says that the farthest continuous ride is 105.57 miles
Record for “the longest journey” (on a Coker)
Many people have ridden unicycles across the US (and/or Canada), as early as 1933. Steve McPeak was on a cross-country ride in the late 60s when he established the 24-hour mark Lars Classen worked to beat on his own ride. I think Steve’s was 186 miles, and Lars was determined to break 200. I think one or two other guys have pushed the record out since then; Ken Looi and Sam Wakeling but not sure who did what. The 105-mile continuous ride (OUCH!) was done with the goal of surpassing Takayuki Koike’s 100-mile world record (6:44), which was done without a dismount. (DOUBLE OUCH!)
People have ridden across North America on everything from giraffes to home-made big wheels to 24" Schwinns. And multiple instances of each of those!
Not what you asked, but the swede Jesper Lissmark Hult rode Europe from north to south (6500 km) last year. His website is in swedish, but it’s got a lot of pictures from his great ride: http://www.lissmark.com/projekt/unicycling-4-love-14410443
Didn’t Gracie Sorbello do it twice…barefooted?
Edit: Oh. The other ride was the Continental Divide.
I don’t think they would like pictures showing her barefoot.
Gracie must of had to wear shoes on the Continental Divide in some of the pictures because she was sponsored by a shoe manufacture.

I just got my copy of One wheel many spokes by Lars Clausen in the mail today. It’s a 276pg paperback with some color pictures in the middle. Much more than I was thinking. Pleasant surprise. For you cheapies like me, I picked it up from Half.com (part of Ebay) for $1.99 and $3.99 shipping. Used in like new condition. And it looks brand new. Now I have some interesting reading for my lunch hours.
Hmmm, I’m not getting the question in order to post. Is it removed?
The question failed to help for more then a day or so.
