How far can you get, and how many deaths did it take you to get there?
I’ve gotten to level 10 with about 130 deaths then gave up.
Sorry, Habby, but that flash game is a trifle compared to the actual hardest game in the world:
La Mulana will take you around 100 hours to beat. La Mulana contains dead-ends, 60-80 hours into the game. Should you encounter one, you will NEVER be able to beat the game, unless you restore a backed-up savegame.
The manual only describes about 20% of the game – you have to figure out the rest. You can’t even save your progress until you find a few items after 1-2 hours of searching. Even then, you can only restore into one place in the game. Any “exploration” you’ve done is undone once you save.
Things happen randomly in La Mulana. Any time you think you’re safe from peril, something bad will happen to you, and usually you’ll die. There are many false walls, floors, monsters hiding in statues. You can’t just run around striking things with your whip… you might set off a boobie trap!
Nothing makes sense in La Mulana. You can press a switch in a dungeon and it could open a trap door in the next room, or it could uproot a tree miles away from you. You’ll never know the difference. You just have to be VERY observant.
This, my friend, is a hard game. Your flash toy is suitable for infants and the elderly, but La Mulana is a hard game for veteran gamers.
I will be the first one to beat this game.
Level 4 is pretty frustrating.
level 4 43 deaths
I got to level 4 after about 35 deaths and then died loads and gave up. It’s an unbelievably frustrating game.
Level 6, 39 deaths
edit: level 7, 40 deaths.
level 7 is scary.
edit again: level 8, 48 deaths.
level 6, 17 deaths. It’s possible to work your way through level 5 slowly so that you don’t die unlike alot of other levels.
Edit: level 7 and 47 deaths. (level 6 is fiendishly hard)

You control the red block. If there are yellow balls, you collect those. Dodge the blue, and make it to the green.
I haven’t been able to figure out level 8…
I only did the first level before going to work, but now ill go have a try at it all.
I accidentally pressed Apple R, and I don’t feel like going back and doing it again.

gave up on level 4 with 56 deatsh, got there on 19
level 6-47 deaths
same… ive been clumsy so i have 222 deaths and am stuck on level 8
At 5 deaths I was at the very last block before finishing in level 5 and got killed. I think decided I hate the game.
Veteran gamers still play Zork I, II, & III and like it.
I Just started again and I’m at level 5 with 3 deaths.
Level 8, 12 deaths.
Now the fun starts
