I know I should be sleeping, but I find myself filled with anticipation of what the morning will bring. There are the tophats, of course, cranking up the heat to roust my ass, then that cold shock as I emerge into the light and noise. But there is also the potential for climate change to come, and always the power. Having dominion over the Spring, pushing it this way or that with the slightest turn of my head and the steady gaze I’m known for.
The best part of course is snuggling up with my female handlers after the big gig is over. The tophats turn me over promptly so they can devote full attention to out-gassing into the microphones. May their nostrils freeze.
Enjoy the day my unicycling friends.

Spring
Snow melts, yes, while creeks
swell and daffodils peek through.
I get to say “when”.
There will be lots of shadows in the Memphis area today. The sun is rising into a clear, bright blue sky. The temperature is supposed to be in the mid 50’s today. A great day for a ride!
We’ve has a week of record snows and the pass is finally open today (after being closed for several days due to avalanches). But now there’s a power outage so the lifts aren’t running! Make it so I can ski on all this new snow!
I’m hoping for more winter, that means a longer spring skiing season.
So it was, and so it was pronounced: “As I look around me, a bright sky I see, and a shadow beside me. Six more weeks of winter it will be!” AspenMike, this call’s for you.
JJuggle, you should be ashamed for trying to bait me on my longest working day of the year. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d scamper over there and show you how well my front teeth work. Lee is both an imposter and a short-timer. A leaky 8 Ball could do a better job than him.
