Happy Groundhog Day!

Yeah, I know it’s not until tomorrow, but since the 2nd is a pretty busy day for me, I wanted to pop in now and wish you all a nice Rest of Winter. For my friends in the southern hemisphere, reverse both seasons and prediction outcome and you should be okay.

Here’s a link if you want to check in on how things go down.

Since I won’t be able to lurk the fora tomorrow, I’ve arranged with Jeane Dixon to pop in from time to time and cover my shift in case any of you have online prognostication needs. She’s not me of course, but she did pretty well with the JFK thing. She trumps the 8 Ball in any event.

Best,

Phil

Phil, as you are pulled from your burrow tomorrow, I hope they will be mindful of your feelings and personal space. Sometime it would be interesting to hear what the experience is like.

As for your prediction, my area, NJ, not far from you, has had one of the warmest Januaries on record with temperatures routinely in the 40s and sometimes 50s. I always hope for a shortened winter, but this year it seems to be a moot issue. Not that February can’t turn nasty rather quickly.

In any event have a pleasant Ground Hog Day, shadow or not. And by the way, what did you think of that Bill Murray movie?

are you really afraid of your shadow?
i mean maybe he runs back in cause of all the people there watching him and all the camera flashes?
well in any case good luck tommorrow, i can wait to hear how you did, and maybe don’t be afraid of anything, stand up to everyone watching you, you can do it!

More than happy to debrief once the big event is history for another year, although I provided a partial response already via this post.

May the shadow fall or fail as you most desire.

Phil

PS: You reminded me of a riddle I made up decades ago. “What do Punxsutawney Phil and Santa Claus have in common?”

Phil you need to post more, may i recomend most replys?

habbywall you need to post less, may i recommend less replies?

does anyone kno what the out come of the groundhog thing was…early spring or late winter?

I could have faxed it in this year…a real no-brainer. The shadow was there, quite clear. Six more weeks of winter.

And to habbywall, the shadow either is, or is not. Fear has nothing to do with it.

Yesterday was a little sad for me, however. This is the last year for Bill, my tophat. I’ll miss his Old Spice. Plus it’s always tough breaking in a new tophat…usually takes a sharp bite or two before they learn how to pick me up correctly.

Anyway, I’m back now. Ready to serve the online prognostication needs of unicyclist.com.

Phil

PS: I know all of you like to make your video clips. Did you know I have my own video? You can check out the trailer–and order it–right here.
