Happy birthday to the love of my life. She is 48 years young today. But she is sooooo much older than me (13 months :)) and I’ve been trying to catch her ever since. But since she outdoes me in so many ways, I don’t think I ever will.
Where has the time gone? Mary and I have known each other since we were two years old but it seems like it was just a handful of years ago. In some respects, I guess I’m still two years old. Couldn’t imagine life without her!
We’re having teriyaki pork roast in the crock pot tonight for dinner. I promise it’ll be even better than the North Bend, WA teriyaki in 2002. If you’re in the neighborhood, we’ll have plenty…
This must be a great day for the Yoopers, 'cause as Bruce always says:
“Happy Wife, Happy Life”
Cheers to another year for the Missus! Here’s to many more.
If I were even within the state lines, I’d still come for pot roast… too bad. Could you perhaps vacuum-seal and parcel post me a serving? Include a SASE and we’ll return a cupcake or somesuch delight…
What a great story…that says a lot in only two sentences. I’m sure the 46 years have a lot more depth, and it’s great you’re still going strong together.
Happy Birthday to Mary! I hope I one day get to meet both of you.
Mary’s father was my pastor when I was two years old and our families were close friends. As the story goes, Mary and I supposedly took a bath together at age two. Now that’s a story for the grandkids someday!
