I was wondering if anyone had ideas for a Halloween costume while riding a
unicycle. I know it might be dark and the costume could get caught in the
wheels but I figure someone out there must have a workable idea.
I was thinking of riding around in a giant hoop skirt, like something out
of Gone with the Wind, and the skirt would hide the wheel completely, and
just see if that creates an odd-looking effect while riding.
Hi Guy - I like to dress up as Tigger. I also push my 10 month old on his
three wheeled jogger but, balancing him on one wheel also. He loves it
but, my wife gets a little nervous. Don’t wait for Halloween to dress up.
I keep fake teeth and masks in my car just for fun. Enjoy-

What about dressing as the grim reaper? If you can stop the cloak catching
under the wheel you could use the unicycle to:-
a) Give you added height.
b) Glide mysteriously along the ground. (Add dry ice for perfect effect
Maybe roller skates would be better for the latter but they make a bit
of a noise.

You will find that catching the cloak under the wheel is not a problem (it
would be with roller skates), your knees knock it out of the way every
time you ride. It is a really effective odd.
Cheers

Unless you ride backwards, that is, in which case you ride straight over
your cloak and trip yourself up.
At least, that’s what I found when we did a Halloween Fancy Dress Unicycle
Hockey Party years ago.
Forwards is great though, you sweep along so majestically, it takes great
will power to suppress the maniacal laugh
Cloaks and unis are great fun! I did a series of roving entertainment
shows on unicycle in which I wore a long black coat that dragged along the
ground. It was also good on a giraffe unicycle because from behind it was
just a man floating along above a wheel. On the other hand, that could be
quite disturbing for some people - I always find it strange when girls
wear skirts and ride unis. It’s especially bad when they have to do seat
out tricks.

I rode my unicyckle imideiatly after my graduation cerimony in my cap and
gown. Keeping the cap from falling off was a bigger problem than keeping
the gown from getting stuck in the wheel.

You should try going as a pumpkin… Then you have no problems with things
catching the wheel…
