Guinness + Marmite = Genius!

Get your toast ready. Guinness and Marmite have teamed up for a special limited edition flavour. Only available in the UK.

GUINNESS + MARMITE = GENIUS!

your going to buy all 300,000 of them arent you

He can’t, the US has banned marmite, and you can be detained without charge forever if you’re found with a jar.

If I was in the UK I would buy one of them. I don’t know what I would do with 300,000 jars.

I’d fly to the UK to get a jar but I wouldn’t be able to get it back through security and customs. Customs really cracks down on Marmite due to FDA regulations.

Tell you what John, if you send me the money I’ll buy you one, spread it thickly on some toast and send you a photo. This is no small personal sacrifice, I can’t stand the stuff.

Oh! And then I could use that photo as my avatar. :sunglasses:

Or this one:

I’ve got to get me some of that…

I’ve never tried marmite. I’ve never tried Guiness.

Why not try both at the same time?

I’ll pick you up a jar and hold it in cryo-stasis until you decide to come to the UK.

Yeah, I’ll believe that.

Is the Marmite/Vegemite ban true or an urban legend?

Seems you can get Marmite in the US.

All hope may not be lost.

I’m loving the shop england site, interesting to see what you can’t otherwise get in the US. Who would want to live in a country without twiglets?

So, is possession of marmite considered a terrorist activity in the US?

The administration are just jealous. One tub of Marmite, what with all the yeast, has more culture than any of those schmo’s

No need for the Disney treatment.
Isn’t the shelf life on a jar of marmite around ten years?

At least.

It does begin to evolve into intelligent life after about 14 though so you’ve gotta be careful.

Marmite is really not good.
Who eats that stuff anyway?

I do.
Mainly because it’s exceptionally excellent and is much better than anything you even almost think might be ‘not bad’.

The supposed Vegemite ban was an entertaining diversion.

I have purchased Marmite in Seattle. You can get the stuff over here if you can find an international deli with a British influence. I haven’t seen Vegemite though. But who would want Vegemite when you can get Marmite.
