Greets all, I'm new

Hello Unicyclist.com,

Recently joined because I’m very much looking forward to getting into this sport. I actually come with questions right off the bat however. I live in the Ottawa area (in Ontario, Canada for those of you who may not be geographically inclined) and I’m having trouble finding unicycle vendors. I’m starting to think online shopping may be my best bet, but if there are other Ottawa unicyclists around (I’ve seen videos of trial unicycling at Ottawa U, so don’t tell me there aren’t :P) I’d love some advice. I’ve already done a bit of research, so I am a little more savvy now on the jargon. Still learning of course, so any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can’t wait to get into this sport.

Val

I’m new too I have been riding for a few months
and I love riding my uni

Bedford Unicycles in Toronto is a well established distributor of things unicycle. Darren is an all around good guy to boot.

Excellent, thank you.

you’r welcome, glad I could help.

welcome to the fora! if you have any questions im sure anyone here will have an answer.

Thanks. I’m sure I’ll have a tonne in a week or so

You’ll get used to it. You’re going to be riding a unicycle after all which will make you look silly and be an embarrassment to your family. Best not to be too self conscious.

Welcome Val

Welcome to the forums Val.
Your choices for unicycle vendors are
Darren Bedford (search on his Name, many hits)
http://www.canadianunicycling.com/
Unicycle.com.

There are others but I’d start with Darren Bedford.

Glad to see more people are getting into uni-ing! Let us know how your first times on a uni are!

Heh, thanks. I figured as much, but I’ve never let some embarrassment stop me from having fun.

Thanks to everyone else for the answers too. I’m glad I’ve been accepted so readily even without any gear. Can’t wait to start
