Great News for Wales
“Work has finally started on the first official World-Class downhill at Cwmcarn. The course is some 3.5 km long and has been designed to incorporate large number of both riders and spectators. It is due for completion in the New Year and will be officially opened in March 2005. The £80,000 pilot project is funded by Caerphilly County Borough Council, Forestry Commission Wales, Mojo Suspension and the Adwyfio grant scheme through the Countryside Council for Wales and the Wales Tourist Board and may be duplicated, if successful, in other FC woodlands in Wales.”
