Graffiti Stencil

Hi thought id share with you all, my graffiti stencil. I made it on photoshop out of a picture of my uni, I then printed it out and stuck the paper onto card, then used a craft knife to cut it out. Just thought id post it hereas some of you seem interested in graffiti, and to the people who arent interested and think its all criminals and thugs, well this stencil has only used on a t-shirt of mine and some paper, I only ever use any stencils on my belonging’s in my back yard, yes i would love to spray it somehwere for people to look and say “wow thats different” but unless it was a legal area i wouldnt. So here it is… also when i cut it out, i left all the shading on the seat tube out.

pretty nice, i’ve been thinking of how to make a uni stencil.
but now i no longer have to:)

Yeah only thing i changed when i cu it out was the seat post lines and also the seat clamp i chaned to a rectangle, with a square slightly lower at the right if you get me, so asically without the little detailed bit :stuck_out_tongue: im thinking of tryingf to print it life size and spray it somewhere like a skarepark wall or somthing

I hate to say this but I could make a better one in about 10 minutes with photoshop.

If you play around with the threshold feature in photoshop you can make a much better one almost instantly.

by better im guessing you meaning more detailed, but i was only evr going to print it out at A4 and more detail would kill it in my eyes, but yeha i coud have done better

It looks cool. But if you never intend to apply it illegally (without permission) I don’t know that it can be called graffiti. The style is not graffiti. But I do like the style it has to it, so let ntappin be reminded that “better” is in the eye of the beholder. There is also abstract, impressionist, distorted, etc.

Yeah, im thinking of maybe doing somthing more artistic though rather than just spraying it on a few old tee’s but with stencil art in general i somtimes this simpler is bette,r plus its a pain to cut out more complicated shapes sometimes

Quite cool. Very clean and simple design.

I like your idea of stenciling it on your own stuff or elsewhere with permission.

Yeah, well even though stencil’s look pretty cool when done properly, theres nothing which could make a building look more rough than a stencil sprayed on one of the walls.

oh yeah there is…

sorry pointless post but buildings with stencil graphiti dont look that rough compared to other stuff

I think it looks pretty boring.
