sometimes I get a peek on the new results in my referrer logs for good
listings, but when I do a search, I can’t get the same results…

That’s usual with new pages or domains.
It’s so frustrating to see since 6 weeks always the same
576 links to my main site.
They should be now much more.

Also my experiement with much combined German words.
Since last Google update, I increased the number of
search words from 1500 to more than 4000.
Now curriouse how often this new 2500 will be searched
I would quess from this new 2500, most of them have now
0 search results.

Just found in the referer logs of new web sites several Google referers,
where I can not see my site when I make the same question at Google

i do not know…maybe jtk has some insight. I just know that sometimes I
seach people searching for keywords and finding my site. Then when I try
the same keyword search, it doesn’t show up.
I remember jtk saying something about having like 24+ or something
different servers/databases going…
