Can anyone in Seattle recomend a good bike shop in Seattle where I can pick
up a lid, flat soled skate / BMX type shoes and possibly some short sleeved
riding tops? Oh yeah… if you can suggest one somewhere near a store that
carries sleeping bags that’d be even better. The book I have mentions a few:
Elliots Bay, Gregg’s and Velo but doesn’t say much more than where they
are. I’m staying near SeaTac if that makes any difference.
Angle Lake Cyclery is a good place. I bought my first Pashley unicycle there. I
don’t know what BMX stuff they carry, but they are near (south of) the airport.
There is a factory outlet mall in North Bend that has a couple of shoe stores that carry flat sole BMX/Skate shoes. You’ll also be able to find sleeping bags at the outlet mall.
There is also a freeride and BMX oriented bike shop in North Bend that should have helmets and jerseys and 3" tires and other goodies.
VALLEY BIKE RACK

Close to the Bar and Grill (beer and steak) and walking distance from the North Bend Elementary School (the hockey venue). Everything you need you can get in North Bend.
Spend your money while you’re here. Our economy could use a boost.
Thanks for the hot shopping tips. Comming from somewhere with a population
of 6000 people I wasn’t too sure about shopping in Seattle. So North Bend
sounds like a much better idea.
I’m lookin forward to meeting you and putting a person to the email address

I just looked up the stores that are at the outlet mall and you might not be able to get a sleeping bag there. I remember there being a sporting goods store in there, but it must have closed down. Someone from North Bend will have to chime in and tell you if there is a sporting goods store in North Bend / Snoqualmie where you can get a sleeping bag. But you will be able to find your shoes at the outlet mall.
I know how you feel. I don’t like driving or shopping in Seattle either.
There are some sporting goods stores in Issaquah where you can get a sleeping bag. Issaquah is where the track events will be held. Issaquah is easier to navigate than Seattle, but it’s not the ideal place to be fumbling around trying to find your way.
Fred Meyer or Target in Issaquah will have sleeping bags.
In the outlet mall, you could get a comforter, pillow or blankets or towels at
Fieldcrest Cannon.
North Bend has no sporting goods stores
