I thought giraffes hibernated for the winter, but turns out they don’t. 
Just for fun, I included a couple sweet UPD at the beginning. My seat was loose and I didn’t realize it. Most people would have figured it out after one crash, but it took me two.

Yes, as we age we tend to take a bit longer to catch on to these sorts of things.

Good falls! My best one was one time after a parade when they motioned for us to get off the street since it was the end of the route. It was a night parade and a smart person would have dismounted at that point. I rode down the sidewalk back to my car and hit my head on a pipe coming out of a telephone pole that I didn’t see in the dark. Luckily it only grazed me and I landed on my feet, but it was a bit of a surprise.
Glad your crash wasn’t worse. So far, I wouldn’t dare ride this giraffe without a helmet…but then I remember thinking the exact same thing about my 24-incher a few months ago…it wasn’t long before I shed the knee and elbow pads, then the helmet, and then finally the wrist guards even went.
