Does anyone use/play/have any console emulators?
I like ePSXe (for playstation), and ZNES (for NES).
I was just going through the HD contents of the other pc in my room when I ran across these. I’m going to save them and transfer them to my laptop. I have a bunch of old NES games that I’d never heard of (Alfred Chicken anyone?), and a few PSX games that I haven’t played in years.
I still have my SNES (with Donkey Kong in the cardslot and Pilotwings next to it) and just recently found a bag with a few PSX memory cards, controllers, wires, and a couple games. The playstation console itself, though, is nowhere to be found…
I used to have zsnes. Though i’ve stopped I think about downloading it again every once and while. Super Metroid is my favorite snes game. It’s pretty fun to play super mario world and Mortal kombat 3. I usually just get sick of zsnes though.
I’ve been using NESticle and MAME. I loves my MAME. I’d love to build a cabinet with an arcade-style controller to run MAME on, 'cause my gamepad just doesn’t cut it for some games that call for a wheel, joystick or trackball.
If someone told me there’d be a MAME, I’d be sooooo many quarters richer. I can’t comprehend how many coins I’ve dropped into 720, Gauntlet or APB. Atari made the sickest arcade games back in the day…
Since I wasn’t ever really an avid arcade goer, I’ve only ever used XMAME on slackware. I’ve only played mortal combat, street fighter, and frogger at the arcade.

I’ve used MAME once upon a time - I used to like to go into the game rooms with it and play some multiplayer Marvel vs. Capcom with other people. Good times.
I don’t use it anymore, though. I’ll occasionally start up FCE, which is an NES emulator, to play some Joust or something when I’m bored.
I don’t like emulators at all, the gameplay is way different than the original. It is blasphemy to play things like ‘Tetris’ on anything other than a gameboy!
that pong emulator just caused pong noises to broadcast on air because i used the on air computer
I use visual boy to play my pokemon every time i need a quick fix.
pokemon will never be beaten
