Gallery size limit?

Is there a size limit per album or per file? I am trying to upload a movie and it says it is too big.

you’re limited to 8 MB per file. I don’t think you’re limited per album though

You can put files larger than 8MB in the gallery. You’ll just have a difficult time trying to upload it. The HTTP uploader thing starts to barf when files get to be around 8MB. Try via FTP instead of using the web browser HTTP upload thingy.

FTP the file to somewhere like your unicyclist.com web space. Then tell the gallery uploader to grab the file from that location. This uploading feature is at the very bottom of the Add Photos window. Scroll down till you see a box where you can enter the URL for your file.

If you still have problems putting a large file in the gallery then FTP it to somewhere where Gilby is able to access it. Then email Gilby and ask him to copy the file into your gallery.

Another question

If I host a video on a FTP site then upload it to the gallery from the FTP like you suggested, will it need to stay in the FTP also, or can I delete it then upload other videos to it?
I just got a free internet website, and it doesn’t have much space.

Once you successfully upload the file to the gallery you can delete the file from your website.
