Can someone tell me the main differences between a trials and a freestyle uni besides the obvious tyre size and rubber pedals? Thanks
Martin
P.S. What would be a good purchase for the above?
Bigger tyre for trials
Plastic pedals for freestyle
Commonly metal pedals for trials
Freestyle unis have shorter cranks (110mm would prolly be standard? 102mm makes you cool)
Trials unis would almost always have 145mm cranks
Better end trials unis have splined cranks, profile has 48 spline!
The frame for a trials uni would be different, allowing a bigger trye
The seat post on a trials uni is probably thicker than your average starter uni seat post
Freestyle tyres will commonly be non marking for use on gym floors
Trials unis seats often have handles on the front
That’s about all I can think of at the moment, but I’m sure there’s more.
