FREESTYLE UNICYCLE

Sup yall–i’m a pro freestyle flatland bike rider (thats on a 20" type bmx bike)
I mainly do the fast spinninning, barflipity, ground tricks, but I ride street
(handrails and walls and banks, etc…) also.

Anyway i designed a burley flatland/trick, type UNICYCLE it uses 2" aluminum BMX
FLATLAND PEGS----- any 1 1/8" /20" bmx fork (most are burley)-----it also has a
FREECOASTER HUB (this is a special hub that lets you COAST FORWARDS OR
BACKWARDS) w/out the pedals moving/u can use different size sprockets too…(bmx
flatland riders use these hubs)----- U COULD EVEN HOOK UP A BRAKE LEVER TO THE
SEAT IF U WANTED…bbut i prefer 2 ride w/ out brakes — anyway tell me what
yall think or any suggestions!!!thanks!! …AND KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR
THE SOON-2-BE DEBUET OF “”“MILITIA BYKE and MACHINE WERKS”"" “FLATLAND UNICYCLE”
again suggestions would be helpful, as i am not much in tune w/ the unicycle
world—i would be especially interesed in any links to sites
w/ UNICYCLE TRICK RIDERS on them (AND I DONT MEAN CORNEY/CIRCUS STUFF LIKE
2000 GUYS ON A UNICYCLE)–IM TALKIN ABOUT INDIVIDUAL TRICKS, THE STUFF
BMX FLLATLANDERS LIKE MYSELF DO! ANY WAYS KEEP IT REAL AND THANKS AGAIN

Your description includes pegs, pedals, and sprockets. So where are all
these parts located? If you can get a picture of your cycle I can post it on
my web site.

Time to get in tune. Lots of cool stuff to see out there. These sites will have
links on them to connect you with lots of others: www.unicycling.org
www.gilby.com www.unicycling.com (mine, not so many links)

True, in the circus you rarely see any real “freestyle” on a unicycle. Best way
to see the real deal is come to a convention or buy a video. The most recent
video of freestyle is from last summer’s National Unicycle Convention:

I’m interested to learn more about your unicycle. Does it have pedals or pegs?

Re: FREESTYLE UNICYCLE

Can you post this uni on a web page some place? I’m always intrested in seeing
new unicycles. Would you call it a B.C. uni? Sounds like your looking for photos
of Kris Holm. several people have images of him on their web pages. Someone even
has a video clip. -Mary

Re: FREESTYLE UNICYCLE

Hi

I never ride a BMX but at the place where I like to ride my unicycle (Louvre
Museum, Paris), there are often BMX riders and in-line riders. Of course I feel
closer to the BMX riders than rollers or quads riders (I even feel closer to BMX
riders than Uni riders sometimes even if I respect them as they can do tricks I
never succeed in). And what I’m trying to do with my unicycle is a kind of
street free style unicycle, what I like to call “aggressive uni”. I’m very
interested in your uni (cameron) and if you can, could you post a picture? I
tried to do a HP about aggressive uni at http://zeni.free.fr but I’m too busy
with my other interests, so it’s not very big or interesting. And it’s hard to
share such experience with other uni riders as they rarely do street freestyle
(they are more into circus or juggling world) My favorite trick is to go down
stairs or using urban space for tricks. Hope we could share views about that
particular way to use a unicycle and may be I’ll be able to make my HP evolve in
a near future with some contributions.
