Free shipping on KH 24" muni...

…ends today at www.mountaingear.com.

Was planning to buy after xmas, but that’s enough to move my purchase
up. If it’s a 2007. Their photo seems to show the older model, but they
are looking into it. If anyone is interested, I’ll post up with the
answer.

Just got the answer so I’ll post up anyway. It’s a 2006. Since
shipping is free it saves me $35 vs UDC, but I don’t think that’s
enough of a discount. If it were on sale…

Mountain Gear has all the best stuff, and the KH is priced normally. But I’ve always thought they were the most expensive for climbing gear, etc.

“Mountain Gear, where you can’t pay more.”

what is the difference between the '06 and '07 KH?

07 has a new frame which is abit lighter and has more tyre clearance, the KH moment and cranks both ISIS.

and also 47mm drilled rims, although some people prefer the 05 rims.

slimer saddle (for trials/ i think its the freeride with the groove for the muni’s), and a double seatpost clamp…

and 137mm cranks for the trials KH.

i think thats it

A little warning: the 06 I bought from Mountain Gear came with the off-spec short frame, so when I put a gazz on it there was absolutely no clearance. When I contacted them about this, they wouldn’t reply! It took a number of emails to UDC (as the US KH distributor) and then Kris himself to solve the problem. Both UDC and KH were prompt in their responses and actions.

Moral (for me, anyway): UDC’s shipping charge is worth it. I know some people here dis UDC, but I gotta say that they put customer service high on their priorities.
