I would recommend learning free mounting. It is easier than idling and also more
practical when you are first starting out. (It gets to be a real pain looking
for a fence/tree/post every time you want to get on).

As to juggling on a unicycle, a couple of tips:

Learn to juggle solidly while not on a unicycle. Get to the stage where it
feels natural and you don’t have to concentrate to do it. Learn to unicycle
solidly while not juggling. Again get to that stage where you aren’t straining
to stay on.

Try riding around with your arms folded or held behind you. Remember that when
juggling your arms will not be available to you for balancing so you need to be
able to read without their aid.

It is a lot easier to juggle while riding forward. When performing people tend
to idle and juggle but that is much harder. Learn to juggle while riding forward
before trying it idling.

Interestingly enough it is easier to juggle idling on a giraffe than to juggle
idling on a normal unicycle.

I would learn to freemount first. If you can freemount, you can get more
practice in, and with more practice you can get smooth enough to ride with out
flapping your arms about, which allows you to start juggling. You will know when
you are ready to try juggling, just get in an area that is flat with a lot of
space, and give it a go, a few wobbles will appear, but it gets easier with
practice.(as long as you can juggle smoothly)

Good luck.
