Anyone know how to attach a regular 20" bmx wheel to a uni frame?
If it was a regular BMX wheel it would be hard because you’d need to add cranks. Also, in order to attach the wheel to a frame, there would need to be bearings on the axle.
I don’t think there is any good way to do it. You would be better off making a BC wheel.

I don’t think there’s any good way either.
a cheap and tackey way, however, (im gonna get burned for this) is to machine two inserts that go into the space where the axle should be in the hub, that have spaces for bearings or pedals. I wouldn’t waste my time though…
unless of course, its a giraffe frame? then it’ll be easy.
I have a BMX rim on my uni coz i screwed my old rim. You have to use the unicycle hub though. I had to take off the old rim and then lace the spokes into the new rim which is a VERY tricky proccess.
If you want a freewheeling unicycle with bmx pegs, what you need to do is alter the frame so it has wheel dropouts.
Possibly the easiest way to do this would be to buy a cheap rigid front fork and attempt to adapt it so that the top bit is a seat-tube. I’ve seen a unicycle somewhere on the web that was made like this.
