I had my uni apart tonight so I could put disc tabs on it. While I had it apart,
I figured I ought to see how much the frame weighed. (It felt like a ton in my
hand). So I put it in the nail scale at the local hardware store, and it came up
to 2 lbs, 3 oz, complete with bearing holders and quick release seat clamp.
So now I’m wondering what other frames weigh. It looks like I could shave nearly
a pound off with one of Scott Bridgeman’s aluminum frames
(1.42 lbs!)
So, does anybody know the frame weight of a Vortex? Davies’ Carbon Fiber?
Telford? Hunter? Wilder? Wyganovski? (sp?) The new one Kris Holm is riding?
This would probably be good information to have on a website somewhere.
Speaking of which… How much does the Miyata 24" frame weigh? Also, does it
fit a Monty?
