For sale in UK: 20" Sem trainer, south Suffolk

Good condition, a few small spots of rust on wheel but not bad.
Tyre is currently flat, needs new inner tube I think.
Spare seat post included – if anyone cares I’ll go and check what
length the two seat posts are.

45 quid.

Long Melford, Sudbury, near Colchester.

Trainer? Is that the Semcycle XL? Does it have the type of seat with
the coloured plastic bumpers? Could you post a pic? Any idea what
shipping to the Netherlands would cost? (Possibly Roger’s site could
provide an estimate of the latter.)

Yes, I’m pretty sure.

Yes. Well, coloured black. According to Sem’s web site, both
the more expensive and the XL models have the same seat. The seat on
the website looks like the one on the uni I’m selling.

Not easily, sorry. But it does look very like the XL on the Sem site.

Roger Davies, you mean? I couldn’t see anything likely on his index
page.

Couldn’t ship it until after 17th of this month (no time).

Do you mean <www.semcycle.com>? There it says under XL Unicycles
“optional upgrade to Semcycle seat”. The seat on the XL picture has
mint-coloured bumbers. Black is OK with me too, the “Semcycle” seat is
even better (that one has no separate bumpers at all but the seat
cover is quite resilient). So what do you have on offer?

Yes I mean <www.unicycle.uk.com>. It has no separate shipping
calculator I think, but I could go through a fake order process,
calculate costs and then “bail out”. Haven’t done that yet.

Oh. I was thinking of the cranks, I guess. Sorry. The seat is
black, has thick black plastic (maybe polypropylene) covers on both
ends (front and back). Rest of it seems to be made out of black
leather (but I could be wrong there). The front is narrower than
the back. Actually, maybe it’s just my screen, but the picture I’m
looking at of the XL has an all-black seat, as does the semcycle.

I tried, but it seems you need an account with them first.

It may be your screen but then the pictures at <www.semcycle.com> are
somewhat dark. I edited the pictures, see
<www.xs4all.nl/~klaasbil/sem_models.htm> (I can’t post pics to the
forum). The seat difference should be clear.

After I made the above, I checked shipping cost (UK -> Neth). Roger
sent me my MUni for GBP 24.50 a few months ago. That’s more than half
of the asking price of your Semcycle. (It may be a bit lighter but
that would not matter very much on rates I think.) So, I back out,
sorry.

Thanks. From your descriptions and pictures, the seat is definitely
an XL seat (though the end caps are black on my uni, not blue). The
tire is all black on mine, too. Other than that, it looks identical
to the picture (apart from a few scratches and dots of rust).

Still for sale.
