Have you ever had a go on the FlowRider? I just got back from a water park with one, and they are a lot harder than they look. Even when you are on your knees.
how goods your ballence?
Its actually really good, so I figured i would be good at it. It apparently takes a while the hang of it.
…he unicycles…
I don’t think Unicycling requires that much balance.
Just the understanding of how to pedal, and getting over the fact it’s not a bike just because it has spokes.
You have to have an awarness of balance though. It takes good balance to learn to unicycle.
No, good balance is what you learn when you learn to unicycle.
Exactly.
+1
Lame.
Go surfing for real sometime.
although…it does make me want to go on another cruise sometime soon…
First off, i live in Ohio.
Second, I havent taken a vacation to the coast in several years. And the first time I went to outer banks I wanted to try. We actually ended up renting a board, but it my aunt tried it and said it was too hard and i couldnt do it, plus the board was to big.
…Ohio is a good excuse for not having much surfing experience :o
The video looks like it would be pretty fun to try…sort of like a surfboard without fins…and shorter…and flexible…
Surfing without fins is really tough. The FlowRider sort of reminds me of one of those nicer skimboards…almost.
I’d really like to try surfing on a standing wave some time…it looks awesome…like, unlimited ride length…
hmm
I have ridden the one at Schlitterbahn on South padre Island(supposed to be the best in the nation). its freaking fun once you get the hang of it. I went to it like right when it was made. the one there is crazy, its HUGE
flowriders are nothing compared to that one though, its massive.
that said, skimboarding on a NICE skimboard is much more fun. I did it for nearly 2 hours yesterday (as well as you can on the 3rd coast)
^ except for the sand burn…
you get going really good & fast, and then boom! you’re sliding across the sand on your backside…shells and sand ripping you apart…
We got a flow rider down here. I have being on it once and it was a lot of fun, i say its better than surfing.
what is skimboarding? surfing in the shallows?
Flowrider
It’s a blast! I rode the one on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas this past November in my Blues Brothers suit.
It was tougher than it looked. These two shots are among some others you might get a kick out of in My Gallery: http://www.unicyclist.com/index.php?page=gallery&g2_itemId=193091
