flatland tricks

I’m bored and don’t feel like jumping on anything with my uni, and was wondering, what are some impressive, semi-hard flatland tricks I can practise?

thanks,
Miles

frontflip (not crankflip) hahaha

just kidding, can you sideways wheelwalk?

???

umm steparounds and leg-arounds (is that the real name?) are pretty flowy and cool. make a tutorial cuz i cant do em.

nope, I guess I should learn how to hop on the wheel before I learn that?

I can leg around with both legs, uni-can, and some other stuff.

Seat on side (in a circle), seat on side idle, crank idle, koosh koosh, etc…

if your not sure what some of those are, go to the standard page on Leo’s website (the site that had the uniconnews)

maybe learn some cool mounts.

I really like doing a rolling side jump mount to seat in back.

is seat on side idleing doable on a trials uni with 140 mm cranks? I can’t even do a circle no matter how scrunched up I get:(

how about build that BC? i remember you talking about getting one. might as well just build one with a spare 20-24" wheel.

Hop cross-legged.

hop crosslegged? is that a recipe for hurting myself?

as in left foot on right pedal, right foot on left pedal?

seat out front backwards isn’t too hard at all and looks ok :sunglasses:

yes

So is flat land like the name for freestyle tricks that arent in a freestyle routine?

its very likely that the problem lies in your seat high. The higher your seat is, the less you have to bend you knees in order to get the seat round to your hip. if you using a trials uni, chances are you have a low seat, making it very hard to bend down that far, and it would put alot of unwanted pressure on your joints to do it.

Goto http://www.unicyclist.org/cont/archive.cfm and check out “levels”, “standard”, and “freestyle”.

If you got inspired and do stuff that isnt listed, feel free to submit here: http://www.unicyclist.org/cont/submit.cfm

ok, I’ll try raising the seat.
