I’ve been doing alot of work with flash lately, and just for fun, I also learned how to draw pretty well in flash. Although It’s timeconsuming, it’s very fun and looks cool as a finshed product. I’ve done two drawings so far, one of Jess, and one of myself. The one of jess took about 2hours, and was my first. The one of myself took only 30 minutes, and is more cartoony. I hope to animate one of them soon.
Nice work! I used to do a lot of web work in Flash. One of my websites is still on the web and can be viewed at www.durangohotel.com
Several years ago I managed to be one of the first ones to figure out how to dynamically load images into flash from a database. The work got me published in one of the Friends of Ed publications. The book was called “Advanced PHP For Flash”. If you were to google my name “gregg vivolo” you may see some remnants of my work still out there on the www.
I had to give it up because it didn’t pay enough.
If you spend some time to learn Actionscript really well you can do so much more with Flash.
Good luck with your Flash work. It’s very cool and you can do some amazing things with it.
While I have been learning scripting as well, I’ve just been doing the art on the side. Lately I’ve been doing alot of work on webpage design, and my computer. It’s a good hobbie when you’re exausted after 6 hours of dance, and can’t get to sleep.
Two other great art programs that I still use alot are Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand. If your using Flash for animation, Macromedia Freehand allows you to import your art into Flash almost seamlessly.
I also do a lot of work in Adobe Photoshop when I’m working with photo’s and webgraphics. Adobe GoLive is also great for animated GIF’s.
