Fixing your uni

I need to learn to do this my self. What are some of the tools and know hows you’d need to just do like basic things(take apart, clean, tighten etc.) Right now there is a small clicking noise that seems to come from my pedal and I have to spend $30+ to take it to my bike shop to get that fixed and my cranks tightened.

-Crescent wrench for pedals.
-Allen set for Cranks/bearing clamps/ seat post clamp.
-Socket wrench for seat hardware/ and possibly bearing clamps.
-Spoke wrench for spokes.
-Crank puller.
-Bearing extractor
-Tire pump.
-Patch kit.
-spare post.

These are tools and other things that will keep you riding smooth.

One is for square taper cranks, and the other is for Isis cranks.

Get a sturdy plastic, round garbage can, cut roughly 4" deep x 5" wide piece off the top rim. The cut makes a place for the frame and allows the wheel to lie flat, centered on the opening of the can. Makes a great bench for the uni. See pictures:

(yeah, the basement is still a mess.)
