This is a nationwide highshcool competition for nerdy people, and I was just wondering whether or not anyone on this forum would be participating (or even knew about it) who I may see sometime along the way.

I have been on the S.P.A.M Robotics Team for the past three years. This will be my fourth. In my freshman year, we went to the National Championship in Houston, Texas. In my second and third years we went to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, and this year we’re hoping to make it to Nationals (and perhaps win a few more awards) wherever it may be.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is semi-international program started by Dean Kamen, the inentor of the Segway HT and the insulin pump.

PS: I saw someone riding a unicycle at Nationals in Houston. This was one of the two times I had ever seen someone ride one in person, and I wanted to try it, but I didn’t ask.

Maybe if we make it to nationals, we’ll see you there. (although maybe not too likely, this is our first year) Our team is also an anacronim: N.E.R.D.S. (nifty engineering robotics design squad) We may make it to finals, we can only hope.

I did robotics when I was in 8th grade…we cleaned up at our district competition, and we got 8th at Texas’s state competition.
I’m working on an improved version of a project someone else came up with… it will be TEH COOLEST. THING. EVAR. It will also take me longer than any other project I’ve worked on before (except for, I hope, my college degree 
)
