Firefox Extensions!!!

I can’t imagine how less fun the internet would be without my Firefox extensions. They make the browser better than the rest, and I laugh when people with Firefox have never heard of them, ignorance isn’t bliss.

My favorite ever is Mouse Gestures which allows me to do almost any command I would ever need on the internet, as well as in any other programs too. So by pressing Ctrl and squiggling my stylus on my graphics pad I can do anything from saving an entire webpage and editing contents, to copying and pasting items. It’s made my Ctrl key the most commonly used one, and it looks wicked cool to be browsing the net simply by scribbling and whatnot.

The most practical of my Extensions are the Gmail Manager and the FoxyTunes buttons. I never even have to switch over to iTunes, and it supports pretty much EVERY media player imaginable. Gmail… wooot!

I also have a bunch of Tab extensions that do thins like make the tabs colorful, or allow me to open a tab in IE under Firefox. IE USERS NEED CONVER TO FF ASAP.

There are just SOOO many extensions for Firefox, and all of them are soo awesome. Got any good ones to share, or other cool FF apps? Share here!

well i’d rather shoot myself than use firfox again ( switched to opera a while ago, i love it ) my friend from school (computer geek) loves it to death, i’ll ask him today for you.

I’m on my other computer right now, so I can’t tell you all of 'em…but one that is awesome is Fasterfox. And one makes it so javascript doesn’t work on any site, unless you want it to, then you right click and it allows javascript to work on that page. You can make it only work for right now, or for any time you’re visiting that site.
One that isn’t really useful, but is practical, is StumbleUpon. If you’re ever sooper bored, surfin the net, you can click the Stumble! button, and it will take you to a random interesting web page. And if you’re ever at a website that you think is interesting, you can add it to the stumble list so other stumblers will be able to find it.

I’ll see your Mouse Gestures and raise you Adblock for all-round wonderfulness. It’s amazing how many adverts come from so few sites, and how much faster many webpages go when they aren’t covered in Flash objects.

I actually use it to hide the massive “unicyclist.com” image at the top of each page on this site; it does take up an awful lot of space.

Well then, looks like I have some updating to do.
I have looked for some cool ones before, but there are just so many I don’t like to search through them all so I just wait until this topic gets brought up in different threads.
Excelent Idea catboy.

I use WellRounded to make the address bar look pretty. DownloadStatus Bar cleans up the desktop without having a seperate window opened while downloading.
I use Qute theme with everything organized to mazimize space.

sry for the quality of the pic… I had to resize it quite a bit to fit the guidelines…

Hey Catboy do you have a link to the “open IE in tab” there are some pages I find myself having to use IE with and it’d be great if I could keep them in the current browser.

Heres what I currently have, I haven’t found any new ones in a week or so though.

Fasterfox is sweet, only half a second of load time.

I just couldn’t breathe without knowing the US Homeland Security threat level.

Did you know that there’s been a significant level of terrorist attack in the US for over a year?

My Internet is running way slower now that I have all these extensions.
How do I get rid of some of them?

In firefox go to Tools>Extensions, click the extension you want to remove and click the “Uninstall” button as seen above.

Thank you.

I only use a couple, StumbleUpon and Open in IE (for those pesky websites that FF can’t play).

I absolutely love StumbleUpon because that’s what got me started with unicycling.

I don’t have Firefox, but I’ll pop into say that I agree…if it weren’t for StumbleUpon, I wouldn’t be here posting this right now.

Yeah any links for open in IE?

Why don’t you like Firefox?

My parent’s don’t want me to change anything… (it is their computer)

Three Firefox extensions that I like are
Google Toolbar for the spell check
Dictionary Search
Translate

well i had IE for aaaaaaaaaages. then i got firefox. firefox was good it did what i wanted it to but i found it too be really messy with all the extra add on stuff and complicated. i switche do opera, and i found the mouse gestures thing already on it so i now do all the right click and move mouse left to go back a page and stuff. i like the way opera is set up and how the find toolbar is there and you can magnify the page easily and stuff.
