Take this from a ex gaming addict who played many, many games from 25 years or so.
There’s no PC game better than Nethack for challenge and re-playability. It’s a dungeon crawl of incredible depth and complication, and it’s different every time you start up a new game. It’s unbelievably hard to win, but possible. Even if you read all the spoilers, it’s extremely fun and challenging.
Starcraft
Need to add Age of Mythology to this…my favorite RTS ever.
FPS would be Battlefield 2, Counter Strike:Source and Halfe Life 2 I also love garries mod.
MMORPG probably Maple Story… It is a realy corny game but realy addictive lol

dam right about maplestory Sprida dont play it ppl i got hooked into it. I got a lvl 38,31,32,24,35 and thats all. I hacked it to the max but i got to addicted so i stopped.
lol I got a lvl 42 legit i/l wiz and a 82 white night (obviously hacked…) but it gets so repetitive.
Bwahaha, I played Maple Story once in between FFXI and WoW. So ridiculous. I killed one or two hundred slimes before it just got old.
hmm. I am back addicted to wow. Have full pvp earned gear in the bank. just waiting to lvl and wear it.

Splintercell doubleagent comes out but it takes like a 3.0Ghz processor at least to run it…guess I won’t be getting that game.

I don’t play videro games much anymore, but I used to like realistic shooter games like Infiltration and True combat: elite, mods for unreal tournament and wolfenstein ET, respectively
