Family Airfare to Toronto

Hi, This is Jody talking. If your family is flying to Toronto for the NUC, you
might check out a special United is running on summer family travel. Tickets
have to be purchased before April 13. We bought our tickets tonight: $1,148
total for two adults, two kids RT Eugene, OR-Toronto. We’re flying on Sunday,
7/22 and coming back Monday, 7/30. I had called United this afternoon and was
quoted $1,544. We tried Priceline.com to see if we could get it cheaper, and had
no luck. So I called back, was put on hold for about 15 minutes (I was sure I
had been forgotten), and then was told the price was $1,148! I am amazed and
pleased. I’ve been researching cheap plane tickets for almost three months now,
and this was much better than anything else I had seen. Especially since airport
taxes are at least $200 of the amount. As I understand it, for each adult ticket
you can purchase two child (2-17 y-o) tickets at less than half price. I found
the info on United’s web page, but I don’t think you can purchase online. Here’s
the number to call: 1-800-241-6522. I asked for the “special summer child
companion fares.”

How do you pack your unicycles for air travel?

Re: Family Airfare to Toronto

Sounds like a great deal. We are going on Air Canada. From San Jose, CA it was
about $1100 for 2 adults/1 child. They had a special child fare, but it wasn’t
less than half price.

We’re leaving 7/15 and returning 7/22 - are you sure you have the right week?
http://torontounicyclists.tripod.com/tnucmain.htm says 7/16 - 7/22
