Hi all,

I know I’ve been conspicuous by my absence. ACL reconstruction of my left knee in late June pretty much did in my unicycling year last year but I hope to get active again once I get back from the NASTAR National Ski and Snowboard Championships next week. I’m in pursuit of 2nd age group National Championship in skiing and my 6th in snowboarding. Wish me luck!

If you are a member of Facebook could you do me a HUGE favor? Warren Miller Entertainment is hosting a heli-skiing contest. Winner gets several days in Alaska skiing some of the greatest terrain in the world via helicopter. At age 64 I’m unlikely to get too many more chances to experience this. Anyhow, I’ve submitted a photo to the contest. Top five vote getters between now and May 1 get reviewed by the judges and a decision will be made. The shot I took is of a female racer coming out of the gate at last year’s Nationals in Winter Park Colorado.

It occurred to me that I ought to give you folks a preview of what the photo looks like. Not only is it a steep course, it has a pronounced sideways pitch (note the leaning gates). I’m up to 544 “Likes” but need to add a lot more to make the cut. Here again is the link.

Thanks! I’ve submitted photos in a few contests, but I’m a little short on cash right now and they can add up. Uni addiction is stealing all my money.

Sweet photo. Very graphic oriented, and it’s nice when an image can hold up in small form (even when they drop the quality) haha. Would be cool to see it larger too.

My site is in need of updates and edits. I keep forgetting to get around to it. Some of the save quality for some of the images is terrible. Thanks for reminding me :slight_smile:
