Ex-C.I.A. Chief, in Book, Assails Cheney on Iraq

Another former employee writes a disgruntled book exposing the the Bush/Cheney war-profiteers. from today’s NY Times: “George J. Tenet, the former director of central intelligence, has lashed out against Vice President Dick Cheney and other Bush administration officials in a new book, saying they pushed the country to war in Iraq without ever conducting a “serious debate” about whether Saddam Hussein posed an imminent threat to the United States.”

Here’s the whole story: link

Remember, Cheney was the the CEO of Halliburton (war-supplier and no-bid contract-winner) prior to being tasked with selecting Bush’s running mate, and deciding he should do it himself.

The war in Iraq provided opportunity for the administration to award billions in no-bid contracts to Halliburton, and their stock quintupled in the last 4 years. Cheney still holds hundreds of thousands of stock options of Halliburton stock. Conflict of interest? Nah! As one forum member says “Halliburton? Meh.”

Support our troops? Nope. They’re supporting their war-profiteer base at the troops’ expense. There is no punishment too harsh for those guys.

This was front page news in today’s NYTimes.

Networks are running full segments about it.

As Intelligence Chief, the author has lots of documents to support every allegation.

I like truth. I like this.

Still, somehow people support that slippery red-eared slider, Bush. I just don’t get it.
