Erik Irvarsson - unicycle, giraffes, ultimate wheel

Warning: This is a crosspost between 2 newsgroups (rec.sport.unicycling
and rec.juggling): that’s why I explain the only juggling trick
of his show.

Erik Irvarsson is a 25 y.o. swedish artist, and this is his exhibition
at the last Festival Internazionale del circo Città di Latina:

It’s mainly an unicycling act, but there’s also a juggling trick [1].

Awesome combo trick! Too bad it was only a flash, but I guess it’s better to not drop than to hold your “big” trick a little longer. The first part of his act reminded me of Peter Rosendahl (in the 80s) and the ultimate wheel part was reminiscent of Alexander Zukanow and his many imitators. That was the first time I’ve seen someone jump over a bar and land back on the pedals, a nice change from the more common jump from one rolling UW to another. I wonder how old the video is?

Less than 2 weeks: the Festival città di Latina was on 16-20 October
2008…

That was really good! The ultimate wheel mount where he spun it round like a coin and jumped on was cool.

I think that’s the best “circus” unicycle act I’ve seen since somebody posted a video of the Swedish Cycle Act (I think that’s what they were called) - doing a wheelie on a tandem then climbing up onto the top and riding it like a giraffe. That’s still my favourite of all time.
