I’ve seen those Racing pedals before, but always thought it was a bit overkill? I’m not a fan of exposted parts either.
In my opinion, I really think spending £50 or more on a set of pedals is not worth it. £65 is pushing it. Pedals take so much battering and abuse especially in trials and big street.
The TRs are a bit hit and miss with the axles it seems. I thought you said you yourself snapped a steel TR axle and not just a ti SL Danni? Anyways, it is important to have in mind that a fair amount of UK’s street trials scene are known as bashers. You’ll see the ugliest most battered bikes that give the impression of a teenager’s bedroom that hasn’t been tidied in over 2 years. So no wonder some of them snap the axles, I think they’d kill any pedal.
But for the more normal trials riders, TRs are fine.
