I listed an item on Ebay last week and when I saw that the auction would end while we were away visiting my parents in Marion, IL over the long weekend, I edited my description warning the bidders that I would figure up the shipping and send the item next Monday after we returned to Rochelle.
I’m sitting here on my parents computer in Marion, IL and just checked to see who won the auction. It was Barbara from Marion, IL. Unbelieveable!
i once got Fed Ex’d over a hundred bucks from Thialand, mailed the item.item got returned weeks later cause the address givin was bad and i havent heard from the buyer since?
he doesnt respond to email and I still have the item sitting back here on the shelf…i guess money grows on trees in Thialand.
I used to sell our extra/old computer parts on eBay, and it always seemed as though people from Thailand wanted to pay unreasonably high amounts of money for products that (some of which) were built in their own country!
Apparently credit-card fraud is very popular over there, judging by the way the person spoke (wrote/typed) with such broken english, but their name (something like John Richards) wasn’t anything that indicated that they had any Thai blood.
What are the odds of that happening though?! You go to visit a town hundreds of miles away, and it just so happens that someone in that town is watching something of yours on eBay. Neat.
I kind of accidently hit this one.
If you just search for “bankaccount”, you will see exact the same text from eBay sellers all over the world.
Would this have ID theft (or borrowing) involved?
(to move drugs dollars from one place to another)
