I agree with this. I sometimes get on my giraffe, and it definitely feels way more scary and different than a normal uni. It’s also a long way down. To anyone wondering if you should get a giraffe, I’d say be a good, experienced unicyclist first.

It’s also 100x more important to weight the saddle. Gone is the uni characteristic of being very stable to stand up on the pedals - with the frame free to flop to and fro. I notice now people hold the nose of the saddle on giraffes practically all the time. It’s a different bird.

Not far from true as I learned one foot riding on the street between the street lamps in the dark after work during winter time.
Oh right, others see my reflectors, but I can’t see the pedals while mounting, it’s all black. White… 3 2 1 …
