Easy Coker Airfoil tire change

Is that same offer good for an AUC meeting? I’ll have to change one out someday and am not looking forward to the experience.

I’d love to come down sometime to see you guys, but breath-holding is not recommended looks into wallet with a frown.

Soaps and detergents (like shaving cream) are water soluble and usually have lots of water in them. This is a corrosive mixture for both steel and aluminum. If you’re going to use any lubricant use one that is not water soluble. Silicone spray, Vaseline, even olive oil would be beter.

O.K. that makes sense. But I’ve heard that oil will eat away at rubber. Which leaves Silicone spray. I recall hearing John Childs recommending the use of Silicon Spray in the past.

Darren Bedford is the big proponent of silicone spray.

Silicone spray is most useful for getting the sidewalls of an ultimate wheel nice and slippery. I just recently started using it on the Coker tire to make seating the bead a bit easier. The silicone spray is not harmful to the rubber or the tire.
