Since you’ve been around here for a couple years, you should know better. If you preach at us and call us names because we don’t see things exactly as you do, we’re just that ornery enough to do whatever it takes to get further under your skin.
Here’s the deal. You state your opinion and why it’s important to you WITHOUT the vulgarity and immaturity, we’ll listen and applaude your convictions. I left my house around 7 last night. I meant to turn my computer off before I left but I forgot… And I’m fairly certain that my parents didn’t turn off the lights. So my house didn’t participate.
There was a block closed off downtown with big EARTH HOUR signs and lots of people crowding around to celebrate I guess.
I went to my friends house and they had all the lights off and some candles lit.
And please tell me what exactly it would done if I HAD turned off all electricity for an hour during Earth hour?
I don’t care about the past and their candles becasue what’s happening NOW in OUR world is that WE have electricity which I intend on using to it’s full glorifying potential.

Lots of coal is burned to produce electricity. Unless you’re doing hydro or wind, it’s healthier to burn a candle.
why cant we just plant millions of trees and use better sources of electricity instead of suffering for an hour in a room full of dangerous fire hazards, if the house caught light i think it would hurt the enviroment even more:p

Just because your willing to bare the horrid experience of turning everything off for a couple hours doesn’t really mean your better than someone who will not. Just because you want to go back to more archaic technology doesn’t mean you need to be all self-righteous about it. Well that’s how you make it seem. You make it seem as if it was so horrible and you sacrificed so much to go through it therefore you can get up on that box and cry.
In the summer our power goes out plenty, it is not that bad. So yeah, save you money and pay for a trip off that box.
