I heard it’s called Earth Day because the Earth was created on this date many moons ago.

I’m using a recycled thread, what are you doing today?
First commute on a scooter today.
Instead of wasting precious herbicide, I poured used motor oil on my weeds.
How does that help the earth? What about those animals that aren’t getting eaten? They’re going to overpopulate!
Not the case, with the lowered demand for animal products fewer animals will be produced.
Earth is already doomed, all we can do is slow down the process of Earth’s failure.
And that is why I will not contribute to any form of Earth Hour or Day or whatever.
I planted a tree, picked up much garbage and went for a walk.
Zero, the earth isn’t doomed, let’s try to help it out. Also, Earth Day is just a celebration of the Earth, our home.
No… we are doomed, but we can slow down the process, not that I am going to help. What is one person going to do?
One person can’t do shit but a whole lot of people can. And that’s been proven.
I know, but if one person leaves a group of 6 million it won’t make a big diffrence…
Well, even if every person tried to help, they’d still have to use their cars to get from place to place which is why the Earth is done. Most of the pollution comes from vehicles which won’t be changing to electric or corn oil anytime soon because there’s to much invested on cars and oil, so give it another 100-200 years and civilization will probably be losing more lives than gaining lives every day, especially in third world countries.
EDIT: that is counting that human civilization doesn’t end due to a WWIII

They made us go outside and clean up garbage for an hour today
That is a rotten attitude. If everybody thought like you, nothing good would ever be done.
Not to mention saving millions of gallons of water!
